Grace Bay Club Unveils New Modern Glass-Edge Infinity Pool
as Part of Renovation in Turks & Caicos

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (October 14, 2010) – Grace Bay Club, one of the Caribbean’s premier resorts, culminates its one million dollar renovation with an alluring adults-only, glass-edge, infinity pool and bar experience. Cutting-edge design combined with the highest level of luxury service brings Grace Bay Club guests an entirely new, sophisticated poolside experience for relaxation and play.  The resort is also making significant enhancements to the existing Anani Spa, Fitness Center and Boutique. The redesign project, which will be complete in early November, infuses the resort with a more modern atmosphere while maintaining the classic beauty of its tropical surroundings.

“We take great pleasure in offering our loyal guests only the finest amenities, and year after year, we demonstrate this commitment by listening to our guests and learning about what is most important to them,” says Nikheel Advani, COO and Principal of Grace Bay Resorts. “The adults-only pool has been a unique feature of Grace Bay Club and one of the resort’s most defining experiences since opening in 1993, which is why we chose to focus on this impressive glass-edge infinity pool redesign as the highlight of our renovation project this year.”

Conceived and created by Miami-based boutique design firm Siskind, Carlson Partners, the group behind the Estate and the original Hotel at Grace Bay Club, the renovation brings guests an enchanting and private sanctuary with the added flair of contemporary art and design. More than twice the size of the original pool, the new resort focal point is anchored by a twelve-foot glass wall facing the brilliant turquoise water of Grace Bay, creating an almost aquarium-type experience. Its modern design, rarely seen in a Caribbean resort, features only a sleek translucent glass barrier between guests and the resort’s 1,100-foot view of beach frontage, the largest of any resort on Turks and Caicos.

The poolside enhancements also include an expansion and convenient connection to the resort’s famous Infiniti Bar, the longest bar in the Caribbean at 90 feet, stretching across Grace Bay Club to the shores of Grace Bay beach. The poolscape expansion now provides guests with additional oceanfront outdoor space for weddings and group events.

The resort’s renowned Anani Spa also received a contemporary, fresh redesign providing guests a more relaxing experience. The enhancements bring two new treatment rooms, one including an outdoor soaking tub for specialized treatments, fronted by a contemporary new fountain. The renovation also includes the expansion of its Relaxation Room and Manicure/Pedicure Room, as well as a complete redesign of the locker rooms. The design palette consists of white-washed wood tile, white lacquer wood finishes, contemporary white Corian vanities, translucent walls in the lobby, and elegant linen curtains to soften the treatment rooms’ aesthetic. The new spa merchandising area echoes the beauty and tranquility of Turks and Caicos’ tropical surroundings.  The resort’s Fitness Center has also been completely renovated with new flooring, a bright color palette and four new Life Fitness treadmills.

“Despite the very challenging economic environment, we continue to reinvest substantial capital in enhancing this successful luxury resort,” commented Grace Bay Club CEO and Owner, Mark Durliat. “We believe that Turks & Caicos is one of the most promising and popular travel destinations in the entire Caribbean, and we will continue to execute our strategy based on a long term view, which only strengthens with the arrival of two newly announced Jet Blue flights direct from NYC and Boston in February 2011.”
