Peter Bruyere Joins Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver
as Director of Sales & Marketing

Vancouver, BC (November 10th, 2010) – With just a few months to go before Rosewood Hotel Georgia opens its doors, Peter Bruyere joins as Director of Sales & Marketing, bringing with him more than two decades of experience in the luxury hotel industry.

With an inspiring résumé, including Director of Sales at Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa in Victoria and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, it was Bruyere’s most recent role at Vancouver’s Sutton Place Hotel that established his passion and fervor for the sales environment, an attribute pivotal to his appointment at Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

“Personal relationships are more important than ever in today’s sales and hospitality worlds,” declared Bruyere. “Investors in Rosewood Hotel Georgia - be it holiday makers, local residents, corporate buyers or meeting planners – look for a genuine connection with staff, through every stage of the booking process. At Rosewood Hotel Georgia, we will draw on the legacy of the property and ensure that every member of our team is a sincere ambassador for the brand.”

A native of Montreal, Bruyere will take responsibility for all sales and marketing initiatives related to the successful opening and permanent positioning of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, the first Rosewood-branded hotel in Canada, slated to open in March 2011.

“It is a great personal pleasure to welcome Peter Bruyere to our growing team,” said Steve Halliday, Managing Director of Rosewood Hotel Georgia. “Peter has a remarkable reputation across Canada, as a leading light in luxury hotel sales. Together, we look forward to re-establishing the property at the beating heart of Downtown Vancouver and introducing the esteemed Rosewood brand to a Canadian audience.”
