Amherst Inn Company Selects Waterford Hotel Group to
Manage
the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, Massachusetts;
Inn to Undergo a $14 million Renovation
WATERFORD,
CT (November 16, 2010) --- Waterford
Hotel Group has been selected to provide hotel management services
for the Lord
Jeffery Inn located in Amherst, Massachusetts. Additionally,
Waterford is
providing pre-opening services while the Lord Jeffery Inn is closed for
a $14
million restoration and renovation project. The Lord Jeffery Inn is
owned by
the Amherst Inn Company, an affiliate of Amherst College, and is slated
to
reopen in the spring of 2011.
For more than 80 years, the Lord Jeffery Inn has been an integral part of Amherst and the surrounding community. The 46,000 square foot Lord Jeffery Inn was built in the 1920s and includes 49 rooms, a restaurant, a ballroom, and flexible meeting space. The extensive renovation will provide interior enhancements and a modernization of the facility, while maintaining its historic New England charm.
