Nov. 30, 2010--BAHRAIN'S newest four-star hotel is set to open in Juffair early next year.

The 22-storey K Hotel is being touted as a top class business and leisure destination and is promoted by the Gulf Hotels Group.

"We are now in the final stages of furnishing and outfitting the property and are getting ready to receive guests sometime in January," said hotel marketing communications manager Cristalyn Pastrana.

"The hotel, construction on which began in 2007, is a four-star deluxe property, located close to main shopping areas and offering a panoramic view of Mina Salman.

"There are 237 luxurious, contemporary rooms and suites which offer services and amenities similar to five-star hotels on lower and affordable rates."

Ms Pastrana said amenities include air-conditioning, interactive flat screen television, mini bar, safe box, Internet connection, well-appointed bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, complemented with five-star services.

Cuisine

"There are also four food and beverage outlets that will offer guests a wide range of local, Mediterranean and international cuisine."

Ms Pastrana said the Klouds Restaurant would offer all-day dining, while the Mo Kan Restaurant was a trendy Asian-style eating place with an extensive range of specialities.

"La Terrazza is a bistro located next to the swimming pool area with a choice of air-conditioned indoor or outdoor terrace serving a wide range of fresh salads, pasta, light sandwiches and snacks and other Mediterranean specialities," she said.

Ms Pastrana said hotel rates would be attractive and match the best in the industry.

"We are to position ourselves in such a way that we are more competitive in rates than five-star hotels and far exceed what regular four-star hotels offer," she said.

Hotel officials also expect the hotel to become a popular venue for meetings, events and conferences.

"We have meeting rooms that can cater to up to 170 persons and are equipped with state-of-the-art meeting facilities and world-class services to guarantee a successful event," added Ms Pastrana.
