Sage Hospitality Names Matthew Sparks
as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development

 
Denver, Colorado, December, 2010 – Sage Hospitality of Denver, Colorado, has appointed Matthew Sparks as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development. A 15-year veteran of the global hospitality and real estate industry, Sparks will be directing Sage Hospitality’s acquisitions team and fostering the hotel group’s growth. Appointed on October 13, Sparks is based in Denver.

“We are very excited to have Matt on our senior executive team,” said Kenneth Geist, Executive Vice President of Sage Hospitality. “This is an exciting time for the hospitality industry, and Sage sees significant opportunity to create value in the current lodging cycle. We are confident that Matt will play a key role in furthering Sage’s dominance in the hotel sector as the company continues to invest and grow.”

Sparks brings a broad international hospitality background to his new position. Prior to joining Sage, Sparks served as Senior Vice President of Development for Wyndham Worldwide in Boulder, Colorado. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Global Development for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International in Boulder and in Singapore.

A native of Michigan, Sparks is a graduate of the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University. He continues to serve on the program’s Alumni Board of Directors and is a frequent and popular guest speaker at hospitality industry events across the country.
