Hilton Worldwide Signs Management Agreement with Silhouette Island Resort Limited
for 111-villa Hilton Seychelles LaBriz Resort & Spa, a Conversion Property,
Schedueld to Open March 2011

Dubai, UAE and MCLEAN, VA – December 22, 2010: Hilton Worldwide announced today the signing of a management agreement with Silhouette Island Resort Limited to introduce a new Hilton property in the Seychelles, the 111-villa Hilton Seychelles LaBriz Resort & Spa, scheduled to open in March 2011.

“The resort and leisure segment of our global portfolio continues to grow with the signing of a second Hilton brand property in Seychelles. Hilton provides premium experiences for travelers in key leisure markets around the world,” said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.

The 111-villa conversion property is located on Silhouette, the third-largest island in the Seychelles and a marine national park, which is considered as one of the most important sanctuaries of the Indian Ocean. The Island is a 30-minute boat or 15-minute helicopter transfer from Seychelles International Airport.

“We are pleased to enter this partnership for Hilton Seychelles LaBriz Resort & Spa; our second Hilton branded property joining Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa.  Seychelles is a very important leisure destination and an emerging market for Hilton Worldwide and the Hilton Brand in the Indian Ocean, “said Essam Abouda, vice president, operations, Arabian Peninsula & Indian Ocean.

During the coming months, the facilities of the newly-signed property will undergo an upgrade process to convert the hotel to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.

Silhouette Island offers exceptional attractions to its visitors, including the Grand Tortoise Sanctuary, where you can see the oldest inhabitants on the Island which in some cases are over 120 years old, and Mount Dauban (740m), the highest summit on the Island surrounded by virgin forests.

Hilton Seychelles LaBriz Resort & Spa offers guests five outstanding dining areas with various international cuisines. Relaxation options and leisure facilities include a fitness center, spa, tennis court, swimming pool and water sports center featuring scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing.

“We are delighted to have signed this management agreement with Hilton Worldwide, the leaders in hospitality, that will help us manage the demand and meet traveler’s high expectations for this new conversion,” said Mohamed Umar Maniku, Chairman, Silhouette Island Resort Limited.
