White Plains, NY - (September 2010) � Misty Moore of White Plains was recently named Director of Catering and Group Sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. Since joining the hotel in March of 2008, Moore was Group Sales Manager, responsible for hotel room and event space sales to business and social groups. 

�Misty has done a tremendous job of bringing businesses and influential groups to our hotel,�� said Marcie McGeehan, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. �She is well-deserving of this promotion and her added responsibilities.�

In her new position, Moore will also handle sales of all catering events, including special occasions and weddings. She was the Five Star Leader of the Quarter and the President�s Circle Award Winner at the hotel in 2008.

Prior to coming to The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, Moore worked for four years at the West Paces Hotel Group. There, she was in charge of Group Sales for the Hotel at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey.

Moore said she is excited about her new position at The Ritz Carlton, Westchester. �I�ve enjoyed working on the Sales and Marketing team at the hotel for the last two years, and I�m eager to contribute further to the success of The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester by expanding my scope,�� said Moore. �Our ultimate goal is to give every one of our guests the best service and most positive experience possible, and I look forward to continuing to do so in my new position.�

Moore began her career as an interior designer at the most sought-after design firm in Alabama after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Auburn University in 2003. She is an avid golfer, having played the sport since she was just seven years old. She competed in the Miss Alabama USA pageant and placed in the Top 10. 

Moore lives in White Plains with her husband, Patrick Moore, who is the Assistant Head Football Coach and Offensive Line Coach at Fordham University. She is originally from Montgomery, Alabama.
