McLean, VA, 09/09/10 – The Knowland Group, a leading provider of business development solutions for the hospitality industry, plans to continue its dramatic growth by hiring more than 200 new employees over the next one to two years. This expansion is largely driven by a tremendous demand for Knowland’s Professional Business Development services.
The majority of new hires will be working at the company’s Event Booking Center in Salisbury, Md. These experienced hotel sales professionals are tasked with becoming an extension of the hotel’s sales team. With a majority of hotels operating with smaller and smaller staffs, Knowland’s proactive sales support is a cost-effective way to ensure that an aggressive hotel sales professional is actively prospecting for new business. Knowland is currently looking to move to a new 30,000 square foot office in the Salisbury area.
“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to extend our incredible growth and create new jobs for the region, especially during these economic times,” said Knowland CEO Michael K. McKean. “By focusing on continually expanding the products and services we provide to clients, we expect to continue growing for many years to come.”
Several publications across the mid-Atlantic have recently covered Knowland’s plans for expansion. Stories have appeared in the Washington Post, USA Today, Delaware News Journal, Delmarva Daily Times, Washington Examiner, and the Baltimore Fox affiliate WBFF.
