Waterford Hotel Group Appoints Duane Schroder as
General Manager of the 393-room Hilton Hartford
HARTFORD, CT (September 27, 2010) � Waterford Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Duane Schroder as General Manager of the 393-room Hilton Hartford. As general manager, Schroder is responsible for all of the hotel�s operations, sales and administration, as well as the more than 200 associates employed at the property. Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. professionally manages the 393-room Hilton Hartford, which reopened in 2005 as a state-of-the-art, luxury hotel with all the benefits and convenience of a downtown location. �We are excited to welcome Duane to the Hilton Hartford. His hospitality industry experience and keen understanding of guest expectations will prove to be a tremendous asset in furthering the reputation of the Hilton as an outstanding destination for business and leisure travelers alike,� said Rob Winchester, President of Waterford Hotel Group. Schroder joins the Hilton Hartford after serving in key roles at two of Waterford Hotel Group�s AAA Four Diamond properties, namely Director of Operations at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa and General Manager of the Radisson Hotel in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He began his career with Waterford Hotel Group in 2002 as a participant in the company�s International Associates Program, after completing his hospitality degree from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa. Schroder then held positions in food and beverage, housekeeping, and the front office departments at numerous hotels within the Waterford portfolio, including Front Office Manager of the Hilton Hartford. �I am honored to assume the position of General Manager at the Hilton Hartford,� commented Schroder. �I look forward to working with the associates at the hotel, getting to know the members of the community, and welcoming the guests we serve each day.� |
