Leading Interactive Agency Receives Worldwide Acclaim

2010: A Banner Year for TIG Global

Chevy Chase, MD – July 22, 2010 – TIG Global, a subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. and a leading interactive marketing company for hospitality and travel, continues to gain global recognition for its outstanding interactive marketing and website design work, receiving top honors in five separate international industry competitions thus far in 2010. 
 
TIG Global’s most recent recognition was born from the 2010 TravelMole Web Awards UK competition, winning Best Hotel/Resort site in honor of its outstanding design work for Borgo Egnazia, a five-star resort located in Italy’s Puglia region.  Featuring captivating imagery, user-friendly navigation, prominent calls to action, and an Italian translation toggle, the website perfectly communicates the luxurious, exclusive nature of the hotel’s physical location, translating the experience seamlessly to online travel consumers.  As one of the largest online communities for the Travel and Tourism Industry, TravelMole hosts this annual competition to honor excellence in travel-related website design in the UK.  Attracting thousands of entries from all corners of the industry, the awards are judged by a wide-ranging panel of hospitality and travel experts.  To accept the prestigious honor, members from TIG Global’s London office attended the ceremony held at the Canadian High Commission in Central London in June.
 
Prior to its TravelMole accolade, TIG Global received two awards for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development from the Interactive Media Awards (IMA), an international competition that recognizes the highest standards of excellence in website design and development from individuals and organizations involved in designing, developing, managing, supporting and promoting websites.  Within the IMA Hotel/Resort category, TIG Global was acknowledged for its work on the websites for El Cid Resorts and theWit Hotel .
 
TIG Global was also recently recognized for its work with destination marketing organizations (DMOs).  TIG Global was honored for its website design work for the Top 10 Scenic Drives in the Northern Rockies, a partnership between four, state tourism organizations and a Canadian province, three All-American Roads, four adjacent National Parks/Recreations areas, and the three National Historic Trails that connect them, culminating in a Webby Award in the Tourism category.  As one of the leading international award competitions honoring excellence on the Internet, the Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and over 60 countries worldwide.  Additionally, TIG Global received recognition for its work with, Banff Lake Louise Tourism.  Considered the jewel of the Canadian Rockies, the destination’s website was honored for its outstanding design, earning TIG Global a Summit Creative Award in the Travel/Tourism/Nature category.  The 2010 Summit Creative Awards attracted entrants from over twenty different countries and judged participants on their level of creative innovation, strength in execution, persuasiveness, and ability to communicate the core message.
