JoAnn Elston Appoint Director of Sales & Marketing at
The Curtis - a Doubletree Hotel in Denver, Colorado


 
Denver, Colo. (June 30, 2010) – The Curtis - a Doubletree Hotel, is pleased to announce that it has hired JoAnn Elston to serve as the hotel’s “Leading Lady,” otherwise known as the Director of Sales & Marketing.
 
Bringing more than 18 years of hotel industry experience to the table, Ms. Elston comes to The Curtis from The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Florida, where she most recently served a the Senior Travel Industry Sales Manager. 
                                                                                              
She previously served as Director of Sales at The Paramount Hotel in New York, the Wyndham Bristol Hotel in Washington, D.C., the Wyndham Dublin Hotel in Dublin, Ohio and the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. She also held senior sales positions at the Wyndham Metrocenter Hotel in Phoenix and the Wyndham Copley Plaza in Boston.
 
Ms. Elston has been honored with numerous awards, including the President’s Award at Wyndham Hotels for consistently maintaining a RevPAR penetration of 100% or greater and achieved the Presidents Circle level with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for exceeding annual sales goals.
 
The Curtis - a Doubletree Hotel, is owned and managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources. The 336-room Curtis features 20,805 square feet of meeting space, including two ballrooms and 15 meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 250 people for banquets and 437 people for theatre-style seating.
