Austin Watkins Appointed Director of Marketing for
Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

 
LOS ANGELES, CA June 9, 2010 Austin Watkins has been appointed director of marketing for Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, which completed a full renovation earlier this year, where he will oversee the sales, marketing, public relations, catering and revenue management divisions.   

I am thrilled to return to Southern California and lead the sales and marketing efforts during such an exciting time at the hotel, with the recent hotel renovation and opening of Culina, Modern Italian, said Watkins.   

Watkins has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry including more than seven with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, spanning several major cities throughout North America and Hawaii.  Most recently, he spent 3 ½ years at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, where he contributed to the sales and marketing team garnering several prestigious awards and accolades.  Watkins also served as director of sales for Four Seasons Resort Whistler and joined Four Seasons at the former Newport Beach property in 2003. 

Prior to Four Seasons, Watkins held a variety of positions with Hyatt Hotels and Ritz-Carlton properties located throughout Southern California and Hawaii.  Beginning his career in hotel operations, Watkins quickly learned the logistics involved with running a successful property.  As he eventually transitioned into sales roles, his operational knowledge was evident in his achievement of several successful sales strategies. 

A native of Orange County, California, Watkins is a true athlete with a friendly competitive spirit, as an avid golfer who also enjoys surfing, snowboarding and playing soccer.  Watkins is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and resides in Los Angeles with his wife Sonia.
