Aug. 23, 2010--Steve Karoul, who has extensive global casino experience, has been named the vice president of casino marketing at Foxwoods Resort Casino and the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

In his new position, he will plan and implement various promotional programs for the casino and entertainment complex, and he will also manage special events and activities there.

"Steve Karoul's years of experience, along with his thorough knowledge of the industry, will be a major asset to our marketing department," said William Sherlock, who is president of the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises.

Karoul has more than 30 years' experience in the casino industry. His industry experience includes working for seven years as vice president of casino marketing at Foxwoods, a post he held from 1999 to 2006.
