Hotel on Track to Become One of Atlanta’s Greenest Hotel

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, USA  AUGUST 4, 2010 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) celebrated today the opening of the 403-room Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, a newly constructed hotel adjacent to the Georgia International Convention Center and connected to Atlanta’s Hartsfield -Jackson International Airport. Contemporary in feel and filled with natural light and vibrant colors, the hotel’s facilities for business and relaxation represent the latest design and innovation of Marriott Hotels & Resorts. The Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway is on track to earn LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification silver from the U.S. Green Building Council. The hotel will be operated under a management agreement with Grove Street Partners.

Robert Woolridge is the General Manager for the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway. During his 24 years with Marriott, Robert has held positions as Area General Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, Area General Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Century Center, Area General Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Midtown Suites, Resident Manager of the 1,400 room Philadelphia Marriott, Director of Operations at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott, Director of Finance/Resident Manager at the Long Island Marriott, and Controller at the Park Ridge Marriott. He is also very active in local and national community organizations. Positions include the immediate past Chairman of The Georgia Hospitality and Lodging Association, Board of Directors for the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Board of Directors for the Perimeter Community Improvement District and immediate past Chair of the Dekalb Convention and Visitor Bureau.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and holds a degree in Accounting & Finance. He has been recognized several times for his high level of contribution including Outstanding Associate Satisfaction, Profit Flow through Champion, Outstanding Food & Beverage Performance, Outstanding Performance Excellence, Most Improved Room Operations and Best Overall Finance Department. Robert is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity

Robert and his wife Sophia have two beautiful daughters Gabrielle and Danielle.
