Susan M. Sanders named Vice President, Strategic Planning &
Human Resources for Hospitality Ventures

 
ATLANTA, GA, May 20, 2010�Hospitality Ventures, LLC, a privately owned hotel ownership and management firm headquartered in Atlanta, today announced that it has named Susan M. Sanders Vice President of Strategic Planning & Human Resources.  In her new role at Hospitality Ventures, Sanders will lead the firm�s strategic planning and organizational alignment processes as well as oversee all aspects of human resources including recruiting, training, and associate relations.  She also will assist in hotel takeovers from both a systems and culture standpoint as well as ensure proper execution of the firm�s performance management and evaluation systems.
            
Sanders brings nearly 20 years of executive-level hospitality and management consulting experience to her new position.  For the past seven years, she worked as a management consultant specializing in enterprise performance management, operational excellence, and organizational development for prestigious organizations such as Intercontinental Hotel Group, Coca-Cola, and the American Red Cross.  Previously, she was Global Director, Six Sigma Training and Deployment, and Director, Organizational Development, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts with cross-brand, cross-geography responsibilities.  Sanders is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
            
From 1996-2000, Sanders served as Director, Training & Development, for Impac Hotel Group and subsequently Lodgian, Inc.  She also has served as a Corporate Quality Advisor to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
            
Sanders� hospitality industry experience includes a five-year adjunct faculty appointment at New York University�s Robert Preston Tisch Center for Hospitality Travel and Tourism, where she taught in the Master�s Program.  She holds MBAs from the Columbia Business School and London Business School, as well as a BS in Marketing from Florida State University.
