 Jason Heath Named Director of Sales and Marketing for Sawgrass
Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida



PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (June 2, 2010) – Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa has hired Jason Heath as director of sales and marketing for the resort hotel, a key position that directs the resort’s public relations efforts along with its award-winning group sales, vacation planning, meeting planning, catering and golf. 

Heath has more than 18 years of sales and marketing experience in the hotel and resort industries throughout the Southeastern United States. Prior to joining Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, Heath spent 10 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts at properties including the Westin Atlanta North and the Westin Resort Hilton Head Island. Heath also has worked at independent golf and beach resorts including Daufuskie Island Resort and Breathe Spa, and The Sea Pines Resort, which is home to Harbour Town Golf Links and the Verizon Heritage PGA TOUR event.

Heath has a bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism administration from the University of South Carolina.
