Elfiq Networks Announces Two New Groundbreaking Models

The new LB-800E and LB-1600E introduce an unprecedented price performance ratio to
eliminate downtime and bring a new level of bandwidth management efficiency for hospitality properties

Montreal, Canada (June 15, 2010) — In today’s current global economy where budgets are being scrutinized and property bandwidth requirements are constantly increasing, Elfiq Networks is proud to announce the availability in July 2010 of the LB-800E and the LB-1600E, two new link balancer models designed to bring a new level of performance to organizations requiring increased connectivity performance and maximum Internet access reliability without the traditional costs attached to such an upgrade.

“The LB-800E and LB-1600E models represent the new benchmark in our field for the price and performance ratio in the hospitality space,” said Ghislain Lachapelle, Chief Executive Officer at Elfiq Networks, a leader in bandwidth management and network availability solutions. “These new models come equipped with gigabit ports which will let organizations implement multiple high-throughput carrier links, including lower-cost ones like 100Mbps cable modems, without technological or budgetary roadblocks while consuming less than 25 Watts of power exceeding datacenter requirements.”

Elfiq Networks’ LB-800E and LB-1600E come equipped with four gigabit Ethernet ports, thus the 100Mbps limit commonly found in this product category and its related price range. This is a significant leap forward since worldwide ISP offerings are expanding in throughput, reaching 100Mbps even in the low-cost carrier category as fiber networks continue to be deployed to businesses. Using multiple low-cost high-throughput carrier links, a property can significantly enhance the guest experience and raise guest satisfaction scores.

These units are equipped with Elfiq’s LAN Failsafe technology for maximum uptime even in the event of equipment failure, along with Quality of Service capabilities and intelligent condition-based balancing features.  The LB-800E and the LB-1600E can also support Ethernet bonding to support greater throughput capacity.

Elfiq Networks’ link balancers enable organizations to utilize multiple concurrent ISP circuits to prevent Internet connectivity downtime and improve overall access performance. With more Internet-based applications and services being used in organizations every day, proper access to the Internet has become a critical asset to normal business operations, where loss of connectivity or ISP link saturation can result in lost revenue.
