Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints David Kohlasch
General Manager for Lansdowne Resort in Lansdowne, Virginia


 
The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, June 2010 … Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has appointed David Kohlasch general manager for Lansdowne Resort. The signature resort is located between Leesburg, Virginia, and Washington, DC, and is Benchmark Hospitality’s east coast flagship property. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s chief operating officer, made the announcement. 

“I am delighted to welcome David to Lansdowne Resort,” said Mr. Champion. “He brings a broad understanding of the resort’s geographic markets as well as Lansdowne’s unique product mix to his new position. We look forward to his strong leadership of this exceptional property.”

David Kohlasch most recently worked with Flik Conference Center Management, in which his responsibilities included overseeing numerous hotels and conference centers located around the United States. His extraordinary success in this role was recognized by the company when he received the 2007 and 2008 “Penta Award,” the highest honor for outstanding success in his position.

Mr. Kohlasch has served as chief operating officer and executive vice president of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. He also served as vice president at the World Trade Center Boston. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kohlasch was director of food & beverage for luxury hotels in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Orlando, Florida.

David Kohlasch is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Hotel Administration. He is an active member of the International Association of Conference Centers, the leading professional organization governing the conference center industry on five continents and the recognized authority on the critical elements of the Total Meeting Experience www.iacconline.org . Mr. Kohlasch resides in Ashburn, Virginia.
