Educational
Institute’s Hospitality iCoach Brings
Training Tips to Your Phone
April
2010, Orlando,
Florida—Hospitality professionals can receive training tips on their
iPhone,
iPod Touch, or iPad with a new, free application developed by the
American
Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI). The Hospitality iCoach
delivers
concise training advice in five different areas: front desk,
housekeeping, food
and beverage, maintenance, and leadership. Available from the iTunes app store, the Hospitality iCoach delivers a fresh training tip drawn from EI’s extensive hospitality training resources with a shake of one’s phone. Users can use the Hospitality iCoach menu to select a functional area for which to receive a training message, or can simply get a random tip from any of the areas. Tips can be used as training refreshers, discussion starters, or idea generators for future training sessions. There are 50 tips for each of the five areas, with new tips available continually. When the user’s device (Phone, iPod Touch, iPad) is connected to the Internet via wifi or 3G, the app will check to see if the tips have been updated and will import the new tips into the app. To download the Hospitality
iCoach to your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, visit
http://itunes.apple.com/app/hospitality-icoach/id366676012?mt=8. Established in 1953 as a nonprofit educational foundation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Educational Institute’s mission is to support AH&LA by becoming the preferred provider to the lodging industry, hospitality schools, and related hospitality industries both domestically and internationally by developing and providing quality resources to train, educate, and certify hospitality professionals. |
