Apr. 15, 2010--Guests at The Mansion on Forsyth Park and Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront will notice few changes, but the Savannah hotels, the final two of Kessler's seven properties to join Marriott International's Autograph Collection, went online with Marriott at midnight. Earlier this year, Marriott introduced the Autograph Collection, a group of independent hotels and resorts representing upper-upscale and luxury properties with distinctive personalities. To launch its newest brand, Marriott partnered with The Kessler Collection. Richard Kessler, a Savannah native and chairman and CEO of The Kessler Collection, has gained a reputation for establishments with distinctive style and flair. "It's exciting to see our vision for independent hotels offering a high level of personalized, intuitive guest service adopted by the internationally respected Marriott brand," Kessler said. "The global exposure and reservations potential offered by Marriott is outstanding, and I have great confidence in the plans developed for the Autograph Collection." The endeavor is proving to be a win all around. Scott Schreiber, president of The Kessler Enterprise, noted that bookings and inquiries through the new Marriott system have been tremendous. "With the Marriott Rewards program we have access to 32 million guests who will be able to earn points by staying at one of the Autograph hotels," said Schreiber. "And marriott.com is the seventh largest Web site in the world." "Few hoteliers match Richard Kessler's dedication to the business and passion for the arts," said Marriott spokesman Don Semmler. "We are pleased to offer our Marriott customers the opportunity to enjoy the truly unique guest experiences his team has created." To commemorate the partnership with Marriott, Kessler has commissioned a painting from noted expressionist-colorist Jean Claude Roy. Visitors to Kessler hotels before May 1 will have a chance to win the painting. Six winners will also receive a limited edition giclee of the piece. ----- To see more of The Savannah Morning News or to subscribe to the newspaper, go to http://www.savannahnow.com.
