FAIRLAWN, Ohio, April 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Akron area's first Doubletree Hotel opens April 1 in Fairlawn unveiling a dramatic renovation of the 40,000-square-foot property on West Market Street.

The exterior is a striking combination of glass and stone creating a stylish entrance. The hotel is modern and open and will be greeting guests at check-in with the smell of the famous Doubletree chocolate-chip cookie that is synonymous with its warm hospitality. A sleek fireplace and chic furnishings complete the welcome.

Guest sleeping rooms and bathrooms were completely renovated, and a business center and fitness room with Precor equipment were added. A new restaurant – Cafe Bricco completes the refreshed and energized feel.

Another positive aspect with the addition of the Doubletree property is its location in proximity to the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. The properties, members of the Hilton Family of Hotels, anchor the campus located on 15 prime acres across the street from Summit Mall and offer a combined total of over 300 guest rooms, more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and two award winning restaurants.
