Giovanni Viterale Named General Manager for The Fullerton Hotel Singapore


SINGAPORE, March 11, 2010 – The Fullerton Hotel Singapore announces the appointment of Mr Giovanni Viterale as the General Manager of the 400-room award-winning luxury hotel. A veteran in the hospitality industry, Mr Viterale has a wealth of experience that spans more than 20 years and this will be his first foray in Singapore. He is responsible for the strategic direction of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, The Fullerton Heritage as well as the new The Fullerton Bay Hotel.

In his new role, Mr Viterale will lead The Fullerton Hotel Singapore’s dynamic team in providing world-class service and accommodation that truly differentiates the hotel from its competitors. Prior to this appointment, Mr Viterale was with the Conrad Hotel Hong Kong for more than 10 years and subsequently cumulating as the Resident Manager of the hotel since 2006. Born and grown up in Salerno, Amalfi Coast South-West of Italy, Mr Viterale’s early hospitality career focused on the area of food and beverage including 7 years in Hong Kong where he further gained his management philosophies.

A strong believer in delivering the highest quality standards, Mr Viterale’s professional expertise takes on a larger pivotal role with the expansion of the Fullerton Hotels and Resorts Group.

For leisure, Mr Giovanni Viterale enjoys travelling as well as outdoor sports such as tennis and swimming. An avid collector of exquisite cufflinks, he has an extensive assembly that was collected throughout the years from his numerous travelling trips. Apart from English and his Italian mother tongue, he also speaks French and is able to understand Cantonese, having lived in Hong Kong for many years.
