MCLEAN, Va. - March 24, 2010 - Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels, and Hampton Hotels, the international brand of nearly 1,800 hotels, today announced the opening of their first dual-branded development in Canada. Located within minutes from Torontos Pearson International Airport, the two buildings boast 126 Hampton rooms and 128 Homewood brand suites and are joined by a shared common area, pool and fitness center. The hotel is owned by Bayview Toronto Airport Corporate Centre Ltd and managed by Bayview Hospitality, Inc.

We have had increasing success with our dual-branded projects within the focused-service segment and feel these two leading brands bring high-quality services and amenities at a value-conscious price point.

Hilton Worldwide and Bayview Hospitality Inc. recognized a need in both the upscale extended-stay and mid-priced transient hotel segments in the growing Toronto Airport Corporate Centre area, said Phil Cordell, Global Head, Focused Service Brands Hilton Worldwide. We have had increasing success with our dual-branded projects within the focused-service segment and feel these two leading brands bring high-quality services and amenities at a value-conscious price point.

Located at 5515 Eglinton Avenue West, on the Mississauga/Toronto border, the hotel offers two separate check-in desks and lodging/dining areas each catering to the needs of their respective customers. The shared areas include the meeting rooms, business center, pool, putting green and fitness center.

We are thrilled that Hilton Worldwide has chosen to partner with Bayview Hospitality Inc. for this first-of-its-kind project in Canada, said Alnoor Gulamani, President. As land becomes more difficult to acquire in such growing areas, these dual-branded hotels offer an efficient solution to developers and greater options to the consumer.

Homewood Suites guests enjoy a range of complimentary services and amenities, including a daily full hot buffet breakfast in the hotels hospitality center - the Lodge - an evening reception featuring a light meal and non-alcoholic beverages Monday-Thursday, an executive business center and a 24-hour on-site pantry. The brands spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom suites feature separate living and sleeping areas and fully-equipped kitchens with full-size refrigerators, a microwave, two-burner stove and a dishwasher. Guests receive enough space for work, study or entertaining with all the comforts of home including a HD LCD TV, complimentary high-speed internet access and two phones with voice mail.

This property marks a milestone for Hampton as its 30th opening in Canada. Hampton Hotels offers guests free On the House hot breakfast seven days a week and a 24-hour hot tea and coffee station. All guest rooms feature amenities such as free high-speed internet access, and Hamptons signature Clean and Fresh bed. Hampton Hotels is dedicated to offering the best customer service and value to leisure and business travelers alike, backed by its unconditional satisfaction guarantee in addition to its complete support for Hampton franchisees.

The hotels idyllic location is close to the major series of highway networks and nearby corporations, including Bell Canada, Canada Post, Citi Financial and Pfizer. The hotel is also close to shopping, dining and entertainment including the Centennial Park & Golf Course and Etobicoke Olympium. For guests convenience, the hotel offers a pre-arranged complimentary shuttle service to and from Torontos Pearson International Airport, and to the neighboring business parks within a five-mile radius of the property.
Launched in 1989, the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand today has nearly 300 hotels open with approximately 110 in the development pipeline. Beyond its spacious suites and home-like amenities, additional guest features include an on-site Suite Shop convenience store, complimentary grocery shopping services*, a complete business center and laundry services at most locations.
