Suitability of ACE DuraFlo ePIPE® for Protection of Drinking Water Pipes
Verified by Finland’s VTT Technical Research Center

March 10, 2010 - VTT has completed verification testing on ePIPE to determine its suitability as an internal lining material for application to both hot and cold drinking water pipes. Verification testing included the general requirements of (EC) No 1935/2004 regulation of the European parliament.

ePIPE is the only epoxy pipe lining material in use in Finland that meets the stringent requirements for application to both hot and cold drinking water pipes.  One of the specific tests that is required is testing for Bisphenol A (BPA) and in ePIPE’S specific application, testing in both hot and cold water settings.  Bisphenol A, (BPA) was not detected in the tests conducted on ePIPE samples.

“We are pleased to have VTT verify ePIPE’S suitability for use in Finland and in compliance with (EC) No 1935/2004 and No 1895/2005 regulations. We are further pleased to be the only epoxy lining material to be found suitable for application to both hot and cold drinking water systems in Finland”, stated Larry Gillanders, CEO, Chief Technology Officer with ACE DuraFlo Systems.
