ATLANTA � Jan. 7, 2010 - Kimpton�s Hotel Palomar Atlanta Midtown has announced Mireille Dizard as the new director of sales and marketing.  Dizard brings over six years of hospitality experience, including nearly three years in the Atlanta market, to Kimpton�s first and only property in the city. 
 
In her new role, Dizard will spearhead all sales and marketing efforts for the 304-room hotel.  Hotel Palomar Atlanta, which opened earlier this year, features 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting facilities in six rooms, accommodating up to 370 seated or 500 reception guests, all with state-of-the-art multimedia and audio-visual supports as well as wireless Internet.  Each meeting space speaks to the Hotel�s �Art in Motion� theme, named after iconic Atlanta-area cultural venues: Alliance Room, Chastain Room, Fox Room, The High Ballroom, The Rialto Room and The Woodruff Boardroom.
 
Dizard most recently served as the associate director of sales at the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C., where she was highly successful and consistently exceeded sales goals.  Prior to the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C., Dizard held various sales positions within Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, including the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.  It was during her tenure at this property that she developed a strong connection to the Atlanta community which eventually drew her back to the city.
 
A graduate from the University of South Carolina, Dizard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  Dizard shares the same love for animals as the pet-friendly Hotel Palomar Atlanta, as evidenced from her five-year-old dog Rory, whom she rescued from the Small Dog Rescue and Humane Society when he was just 10 weeks old.
