Bill Linehan Appointed Chief Marketing Officer
for Richfield Hospitality


DENVER, January 4, 2010 — Richfield Hospitality, a leading hotel management company, today announced that Bill Linehan has joined the firm as chief marketing officer.  Linehan assumes the same role at Richfield’s sister division, Sceptre Hospitality Resources, which provides third-party GDS connectivity, e-marketing and revenue management.

“Richfield Hospitality is finalizing a new growth strategy that will have a dramatic impact on its third-party hotel management operations, and Bill Linehan has joined us as the final member of our new senior management team,” said Greg Mount, Richfield Hospitality president.  “With the plan and team in place, we believe we will have a significant competitive advantage as the hotel industry and economy begin their rebound.  We believe the number of hotels that will change hands will increase substantially over the next 18 months, which is the time when most owners select new operators.   We intend to expand our leadership position in hotel management and enhance our proven track record of generating optimum profits, improving asset value and providing superior service to our owners and guests.

Linehan joins Richfield Hospitality from Hodges Ward Elliott, Inc., a premier hotel brokerage and investment banking firm, where he served as managing director of new business development.  His 20-plus year hospitality industry background includes such senior senior-level positions as principal and executive vice president of The North Point Group; vice president of global marketing and new business development for IHG; and global vice president of marketing and strategic development partnerships for Starwood Hotels  Resorts Worldwide.

Linehan holds an International Executive Masters of Business Administration from Lancaster University in England and a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson  Wales University.
