Chris Dolce Appointed General Manager of the 206-room IBM Palisades
Executive Conference Center in Palisades, New York

 
MONTVALE, N.J. (Feb. 8, 2010) - Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a privately held operator of 26 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, today announced the appointment of Chris Dolce of New City, N.Y., as general manager of IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center in Rockland County, N.Y.

A 21-year company veteran, he previously was general manager of the Dolce Norwalk in Connecticut.  From 1994 to 2003, he served the former Dolce Tarrytown House in New York as general manager, assistant general manager and conference director.  From 1988 to 1994 he was conference services manager and sales manager for the former Dolce Hamilton Park in Florham Park, N.J.

Dolce is a 1981 graduate of Iona College, New Rochelle, N.Y., where he received a bachelor�s degree in business administration.  He earned the Certified Hotel Administrator designation in 2007 from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.  He served the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce for the last six years as a member of its board and Executive Committee and its vice president of ambassadors.

IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center offers 206 guest rooms and 48,000 square feet of meeting space certified by the International Association of Conference Centers.  Each of its 43 function rooms, including a ballroom, three tiered classrooms and amphitheater, is designed to facilitate executive meetings, strategic planning, management development, product launches and training.

The facility�s fitness center features four racquetball courts, a whirlpool, two saunas, yoga classes and a five-lane, waveless lap pool.  Recreational activities also include tennis, volleyball, racquetball, basketball and walleyball.  Other amenities include a restaurant, lounge, six private dining rooms and business center.   Wireless Internet service is provided throughout.

IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center is 12 miles from the George Washington Bridge, 10 miles from Westchester County and no more than 30 miles from the New York Metropolitan area�s five major airports: Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark, Teterboro and Westchester.
