Uniguest™ Grows Its Technology Division With Industry Veteran

.

Nashville, Tenn.  (October 20, 2009) Uniguest™, a Nashville based provider of print and technology solutions to the hospitality, healthcare, and real estate industries has announced the appointment of Shirley Holman to Director of Sales for Uniguest’s technology division. In two year’s time and with 20 years experience in the hotel industry on the “hotel side” of the business, Holman helped Uniguest grow into one of the largest vendors for technology solutions in the lodging industry.

Holman joined Uniguest in 2006 and most recently served as a Senior National Account Executive. With extensive knowledge in the hotel industry, Holman has been a key member delivering the knowledge and service synonymous with Uniguest. In addition to training, managing, and mentoring the Uniguest technology sales staff, Holman has also contributed significantly to the revenues of Uniguest which lead to Uniguest being named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in 2009.

“Working at Uniguest has given me the best of both worlds. I get to sell a product and service I truly believe in to an industry that I have spent more than half my life working for,” said Holman.  “When you are in the hospitality industry, you are suppose to do whatever you can to take care of the customer and Uniguest has that mind set.  I love also being able to tell customers our 24/7 technical support is located in our Nashville corporate office staffed by Uniguest employees, and never contracted out or located in another country. It puts us a step above.”

Uniguest has made a name in the industry as providing superior service at cost-effective pricing bringing value added benefits to their customers. Since the inception of the technology division in 2002, Uniguest has grown to be an industry leader with over 5,000 hotel customers across virtually every hotel brand.

“Every entrepreneur hopes to stumble upon someone like Shirley to lead their sales team,” states Uniguest’s CEO and Co-founder Shawn Thomas. “To find someone with over 20 years experience and established relationships with some of the largest hotel ownership groups and management companies is a rare find. Shirley’s passion, integrity, and desire to over exceed customer expectation sets the bar and we are proud to have her lead our technology division.”

Holman attended Ohio State University. During her sales career in the hotel business, she was certified by AH&LA as a CHSP, was a member of many association boards and served as a past president of the Nashville Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association.  She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and is a die-hard Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. She relocated to Nashville in 1984 and is the mother of two boys.
