Industry Experts Provide Insight into the PCI Data Security Standards

The interactive session will feature hospitality industry experts, Dr. Cihan Cobanoglu, Associate Professor, University of Delaware; Daniel J. Connolly, Ph.D., Associate Dean of undergraduate programs for the Daniels College of Business and Assistant Professor, University of Denver; and Mark Haley, Partner, Prism Partners.
 
Starting July 1, 2010, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) will mandate all companies processing credit card data be compliant with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS). These standards reflect an application of security best practices, reduces risk, and provides assurance for companies processing credit cards. Application of this industry standard strengthens a company's ability to resist a significant security breach that may result in unauthorized access and consequential inconvenience to customers.
