Michael Hutchins Named Vice President of Development
for Radisson
Hotels & Resorts for the Eastern United States and
Canada
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 20, 2009) – Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced the appointment of Michael Hutchins to the position of vice president of development for Radisson Hotels & Resorts for the Eastern United States and Canada. Radisson is the flagship, full-service brand for the hotel division. Hutchins is responsible for overseeing franchise development for new build and conversion hotels and management contracts for Radisson Hotels & Resorts throughout his region. He reports directly to Robert Kleinschmidt, executive vice president, development and investment for Carlson Hotels – The Americas. “Michael brings extensive experience and knowledge in hospitality development that will be valuable in assisting hotel owners, developers and lenders with franchising the Radisson brand in key markets in his region,” said Kleinschmidt. “He knows all aspects of full-service, upscale hotel development and can use his expertise and insight to attract franchisees that are committed and able to meet the brand’s heightened quality standards.” Hutchins has a broad development background including
corporate development
leadership roles as a regional director of hotel growth for Hilton
Hotel
Corporation, vice president of franchise sales and development at
Wyndham
Hotel Group and director of franchise sales and hotel development at
Cendant
Corporation. Prior to entering the hospitality industry, he was
an
exhibit design consultant and an insurance
broker.
