Hilton Waikoloa Village Adds Five Area Sales Executives

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii � November 18, 2009 - HILTON WAIKOLOA VILLAGE -- a 62-acre Pacific playground located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii�s Big Island � proudly announces new sales team members who will work in the field to help service the many Hilton Waikoloa Village national accounts. Team members include Jan Tucker, director of national accounts, Midwest; Robert Korin, senior sales manager, Eastern; Jessica Colmenares, senior sales manager, Northwest/Canada; Liz Bernstein, senior sales manager, Southwest/Australia; and Erica Gordon Hyman, senior sales manager, Mid-Atlantic. Each team member will be based out of and travel among their specific region.

Jan Tucker joins Hilton Waikoloa Village as director of national accounts, Midwest. Tucker has an extensive background in sales, most recently serving as director of national accounts - Midwest for seven years at Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa, a Marriott Resort, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Previously, she held numerous sales and marketing positions with Loews, Hyatt and Registry Hotels in many of the Mainland�s major markets. Tucker also spent eight years on the incentive and meeting planner side as director of sales with Northwestern Incentives.

Robert Korin has been named senior sales manager, Eastern region, responsible for customer relationships from Maine to Miami.  Korin has more than 25 years of sales experience, with the majority spent with Marriott International. Prior to his 22-year tenure with Marriot, Korin held sales management positions at Hilton properties in Boston, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.

Joining the team from Hilton San Francisco, Jessica Colmenares has been named senior sales manager, Northwest/Canada. With more than 13 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, Colmenares was most recently responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with accounts as senior sales manager. Before joining Hilton, she spent ten years at Doubletree Hotel San Jose. 

Liz Bernstein has been appointed senior sales manager, Southwest/Australia.  With 20 years of Sales and Marketing experience at the luxury resort level of the Hospitality industry, Bernstein has held positions as Regional Sales Director and National Sales Manager for Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, Resort at Squaw Creek and La Costa Resort & Spa.  Most recently, she served as Director of Sales, Western region for Miraval Resorts, where she executed all sales efforts in the western United States as part of the resort�s brand expansion.

Erica Gordon Hyman joins the team as senior sales manager, Mid-Atlantic. With extensive experience in sales and the hospitality industry, Hyman�s most recent role as Global Account Director with Wyndham Hotel Group included initiating client events, producing trade shows, coordinating sponsorship involvement and planning and prioritizing personal sales activities. Hyman has also previously worked with Jurys Doyle Hotel Group (now The Doyle Collection), Loews L�Enfant Plaza Hotel, Capitol Reservations and National Leisure Group. Hyman is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), designated in 2006.

These individuals join another Hilton Waikoloa Village sales team member, Russ Kembel, who transitioned from the on-property sales team to Seattle in June 2009. Russ serves as director of national accounts and the Hilton Waikoloa Village�s primary sales executive covering key accounts in the national insurance and incentive meetings and travel markets.
