Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Creates New Logo Featuring
a Design Derived from the Wyndham Crown
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Nov. 9, 2009) – A new logo, Web site and cross-sell reservations functionality have been launched to celebrate the integration of the extended-stay Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham® brand into the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts® family.
The brand’s new red and orange logo, featuring a design derived from the Wyndham crown, appears prominently at the top of the brand’s new Web site, www.hawthorn.com.
In addition, cross-sell functionality was introduced among Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Wingate by Wyndham® and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts on their Web sites, within their telephone reservations centers and on the Global Distribution Systems used by travel agents.
The affiliation, designed to reach a broader consumer base and leverage marketing, sales and training, creates a combined Wyndham® brand that encompasses nearly 350 hotels based on quarterly system statistics as of Sept. 30, 2009.
“Now, when consumers search for a hotel on the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Wingate by Wyndham and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Web sites, they will be offered all three brands as appropriate,” said Jeff Wagoner, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts president. “This will increase exposure and booking opportunities for all brands and help us deliver better service by providing alternate Wyndham brand family options when the requested brand is not available.”
Agents who staff the three brands’ reservations desks now can suggest alternative Wyndham family brands when the requested brand is not available. Travel agents will be offered similar options when they search their GDS for any of the three Wyndham brands in a specific location.
“We are excited about the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham affiliation with the Wyndham family of brands and look forward to experiencing positive returns in bookings and increasing brand awareness through our cross-selling capabilities,” said Bill Hall, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham brand senior vice president.
Wyndham Rewards® members who stay with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Wingate by Wyndham and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts hotels earn points that can be redeemed for free hotel stays, airline tickets, name-brand merchandise and dining and shopping gift cards, among other options. In lieu of points, members may elect to earn airline or rail miles with a variety of partners. More information is available at www.wyndhamrewards.com.
