Boston MA (November 24, 2009) - Saunders Hotel Group, LLC, headquartered in Boston, has named Cherri Dukes as the new General Manager of the Residence Inn Merrimack, NH located at 246 Daniel Webster Highway, equidistant from Nashua and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Saunders Hotel Group acquired the 129-suite hotel in 2004.

In making the announcement, Jeffrey Saunders, SHG President & CEO said, "It gives me great pleasure to announce the selection of Cherri Dukes as General Manager for the Residence Inn Nashua Merrimack. Not only does she bring 20+ years of hospitality industry experience to the assignment, much of it specific to the Marriott Residence Inn brand, she brings critical local knowledge of the market having served as the hotel's Assistant General Manager from 1999 to 2002." 

Ms. Dukes began her hospitality career in 1991 as Front Office Manager for the Residence Inn in Annapolis, MD. Named "Boss of the Year" there in 1994 and 1995, she was promoted in 1999 to Assistant General Manager of the Residence Inn Merrimack. In 2004 she was promoted again to General Manager for the Residence Inn in Burlington VT which earned the highest "Quality Assurance" score for its category in the country under her leadership. She was next assigned as General Manager of the Fairfield Inn in Middleborough, MA; and in 2005 was named General Manager of the Residence Inn Holland MI. During her tenure, that hotel has experienced increases in occupancy, revenue and customer satisfaction. Ms. Dukes is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
