Carlsbad, Calif. - November 2009—La Costa Resort and Spa has named Christine Cooper as director of sales. In her new role, Cooper will oversee all group sales efforts for the resort and lead a sales staff of 12.

For the past 13 years, Cooper has enjoyed a successful sales career with Fairmont Hotels. She held numerous sales positions at the Fairmont San Jose and, most recently, was director of group sales for the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. During her tenure with Fairmont, Cooper received numerous awards and recognitions for outstanding sales performance including being named one of 15 sales people in the company to the President’s Circle.

Cooper is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
