NEW
YORK, NY. (NOVEMBER 9, 2009) --- Bittel Electronics’ new UNO product line
has won two prestigious Editors’ Choice awards for excellence, here at
the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant show. UNO received the award
for “Best New Product – Technology”, as well as the Kenneth F. Hines “Best
in Show” award, as selected by an independent panel of editors from the
leading hospitality industry trade publications. The annual awards recognize
design excellence and innovation at the IH/M&RS show, the hospitality
industry’s largest trade show and conference. This year, the Editors’ Choice
awards attracted nearly one hundred entries in six categories, representing
the best of new product introductions to the hospitality industry.
Bittel UNO combines, for the first time ever, a full-featured hotel room phone, an alarm clock/radio, and an iPod/iPhone/mp3 player audio interface. UNO is designed to allow hoteliers in all segments of the industry to reduce the number of devices they purchase for their guest rooms, as well as providing a significantly updated and contemporary design aesthetic. UNO enables hoteliers to reduce costs while continuing to improve the guest experience through the use of innovative technologies. Bittel chief marketing officer Dean Compoginis comments, “We’re thrilled to receive these two prestigious awards here at the IH/M&RS show. The Editor’s Choice awards recognize the best and most innovative new products in the hospitality industry, and we are gratified that the industry is quickly recognizing the value that UNO delivers. By combining several functionalities into one elegant and attractive solution, Bittel UNO is a truly unique solution that we feel the hotel industry has wanted and needed for a long time. We are truly pleased that this independent panel has validated our beliefs and bestowed these two awards upon us, less than two weeks after UNO’s introduction.”
