Owner Highland Hospitality and Operator Crestline Complete Extensive Renovation
and Rebranding of the Former Wyndham to The Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel

FAIRFAX, Va. and PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Dec. 17, 2009 - Crestline Hotels & Resorts today announced the opening of the 410 guest room Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel. The upscale property, formerly known as the Wyndham Palm Springs, was newly branded a Renaissance after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. The hotel is attached to the Palm Springs Convention Center and serves both the meetings market as well as leisure travelers. Its location, renovation and rebranding firmly position the hotel as the Palm Springs' convention headquarters hotel. The hotel now has 30,000 square feet of convention space, which when combined with the adjacent Convention Center, has the ability to offer 180,000 square feet of conference space all on the same level and under one roof.

The extensive renovation features a re-purposing of the Lobby to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with striking focal points that blend nature with the modernism of the new Palm Springs. The collaboration of materials from the surrounding landscape, along with the glamorous history of the area, combine to form a serene and welcoming oasis. Upon arrival guests are welcomed into a 'great room' environment complete with a 'cocktail culture' oriented bar/lounge, front desk pods that invite interaction and create a sense of arrival, and a color palette that is relaxing and enhanced with mood lighting that changes throughout the day.

Also critical to the newly designed space is the integration of technology, which enables the guest to easily transition between work, relaxation and socializing. Media walls, digital reader boards, high-definition TV's, and other informational technologies enliven and activate the space by entertaining and informing guests. The results invite guests to linger and enjoy the new food, beverage and retail offerings in the public space.

With its inventive cuisine, architecture and extraordinary nightlife options, DATE & ROCKS, will help draw people to downtown Palm Springs. DATE, an upscale restaurant, and ROCKS, a lavish ultra-lounge, create a destination where guests can have dinner followed by cocktails and entertainment in two unique atmospheres in one location. DATEfeatures an inspired welcome drink to help cleanse guests' pallets in preparation for their dining experience which includes an eclectic menu combining unique flavors with local meats and produce. DATE also incorporates elements from Palm Springs' micro local food scene by incorporating the flavors of dates into its cuisine.

ROCKS is a unique Day-Night Bar that creates two very different atmospheres. It serves as a chic coffee bar in the morning and then evolves into a hot-spot lounge in the afternoon and evening. ROCKS mixes cocktail cubbies (intimate spaces that create a work area while also serving as a location for small groups to relax), communal social tables (that include PC's integrated into the tables), 'chill/recline' seating and 'social mingle sofas' for a high density seating area in the Lobby. At the same time, the Lobby's lighting, design elements, millwork and chairs create a sense of privacy.
