Choice Hotels International Opens 38 New Hotels in August
Silver Spring, Md. (September 9, 2009) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 38 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of August. The openings include hotels in 19 states and 6 countries, adding more than 2,500 rooms to the company’s existing 475,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in August include:
Clarion Hotel – West Covina, Calif.
The Clarion Hotel near Fairplex in West Covina, just minutes from downtown Los Angeles, features free continental breakfast, free wireless high-speed Internet throughout, an outdoor pool, a cocktail lounge, a business center, an exercise room and free weekday newspapers. Guestrooms offer flat screen/Plasma TVs, pillow top mattresses and refrigerators.
Econo Lodge – Memphis, Tenn.
This downtown Memphis hotel offers its guests free continental breakfast, free wireless high-speed Internet access, an on-site restaurant and cocktail lounge, a seasonal outdoor pool, a sun deck, a fitness center, indoor parking and free weekday newspapers. Each guestroom features pillow top mattresses while select rooms also offer microwaves and refrigerators.
Sleep Inn & Suites – Madison, Wis.
This newly-constructed pet-friendly hotel features complimentary deluxe continental breakfast, an indoor heated pool and whirlpool/hot tub, a game room, a business center, an exercise room, free weekday newspapers and free wireless high-speed Internet access. Quality Hotel Farao Joao Pessoa – Joao Pessoa, Brazil
