Staybridge Suites, a member of the InterContinental Hotels Group, recently opened the doors to a 105-room hotel on Slade Avenue.

Designed for travelers visiting Western New York on longer- term stays, rooms are outfitted with full kitchens as well as business-friendly work stations. Suites are available in studio, one bedroom and two-bedroom options.

The Southtowns location was chosen for its proximity to the New York State Thruway, Ralph Wilson Stadium, downtown Buffalo and several large employers such as Gibraltar Industries, Fisher-Price, Ford Motor Co. and United Healthcare.

It is the area's second Staybridge Suites, the first of which is located on Sheridan Drive in Clarence.

The hotel is owned by Ridge Road Group LLC. Ridge Road is an affiliate of Ellicott Development Co. and Mosey Castle LLC, which also operate the Hampton Inn in West Seneca, the Days Hotel at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, the Wingate Inn in Ellicottville. The group also has a boutique hotel called Giacomo slated to open in Niagara Falls.
