Benchmark Hospitality Appoints Stephen Weber Director of Sales
at the Downtown Conference Center in Manhattan

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, July 2009 … Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Stephen Weber director of sales for the Downtown Conference Center, located in lower Manhattan.  Tom Murray, conference center manager for Benchmark at the property, made the announcement.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Stephen to the Downtown Conference Center,” said Mr. Murray.  “He brings extensive experience in conference sales to his new role and is a great addition to our professional sales team.”

Stephen Weber previously held the title of director of sales at the Delamar Hotel of Greenwich, Connecticut.  Prior to this, Mr. Weber served as director of sales & marketing for the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center of Palisades, New York, where in 2002 he and his team were honored with the Sales Team of the Year award.  He has also held the title of national director of sales for Dolce Hotels & Resorts, responsible for selling eleven conference centers globally.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Weber served as director of sales for Harrison Conference Center & Hotel in Princeton, New Jersey.  He has also been employed by Doral Arrowwood Conference Center Resort of Rye Brook, New York, as senior sales manager.  

Stephen Weber graduated from Southwest Missouri State University.  He resides in Newburgh, New York.
