The Seattle Hotel Association Appoints New Board of Directors;
Julia Schroeder Elected President

SEATTLE � Aug. 20, 2009 � The Seattle Hotel Association (SHA), a non-profit organization that promotes the economic well being of Seattle�s hospitality industry, announced its 2009-2010 Board of Directors, led by Julia Schroeder as president. As a long-time member of Seattle Hotel Association�s board of directors, Schroeder, the managing director at Hotel Ändra, has long supported the organization�s efforts in promoting tourism and hospitality for the city. Other new directors include Howard Cohen, vice president/general manager
of Clise Properties� hotel division, as vice president; Don Dennis, general
manager of Hotel Deca, as treasurer and David Sullivan, general manager
of the Pan Pacific Hotel, as secretary.

SHA works to generally promote the economic well being of the hospitality industry in Seattle. In order to further this goal, the association partners with Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Downtown Seattle Association, the Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association and the Washington Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus. SHA supports strategies to encourage the economic well being of Seattle job creation in the tourism and other industries and a safe and clean city environment for residents, workers and tourists alike.
