Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc. to Manage The Inn at Pocono Manor in Pennsylvania

3,000-acre Property is 50th in Company's Managed Hotel/Resort Portfolio

.

SALISBURY, Md., Aug. 10, 2009 - Officials of Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a leading, Maryland-based hotel management and services company, today announced that the company has been retained to manage The Inn at Pocono Manor in Pennsylvania (www.poconomanor.com). The 3,000-acre mountain resort is consistently ranked one of the top three destination properties among resorts in the Pocono Resort Region. Known as "The Grand Lady of the Mountains," The Inn at Pocono Manor is a four-season resort listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

"We plan to continue the mountain resort's 107-year-old tradition of welcoming guests with the highest quality accommodations, personalized services, facilities and amenities," said Michael Marshall, president and CEO of Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc. "We will build on that tradition with such modern conveniences as complimentary wireless Internet access, in a way that does not take anything away from the hotel's period-designed rooms and public spaces.

"Marshall has extensive expertise in the successful operation of independent resorts," Mike Marshall noted. "We will implement our proprietary operating and marketing programs and take advantage of our economies of scale. In addition, we will focus on raising the bar on service levels to offer our guests a more leisurely experience. Our goal is to not only increase occupancy and guest loyalty, but to promote the region, as well. We plan to be very active in the community."

The hotel is presently expanding its catering and conference capacity by adding a new Ballroom area and Kosher kitchen. This will enhance the ability to host more groups throughout the year and open the resort to new business opportunities. The outdoor and garden areas were recently updated and landscaped. Initial plans are underway to upgrade the hotel rooms.

"We are working on value added packaging and presence in our feeder markets to promote a number of fun and innovative packages, ranging from special spa treatments at the resort's full-service Laurel Spa, shopping tours at the nearby Crossings Premium Outlets and complimentary passes to close-by Camelbeach Waterpark," he noted. Special packages also are available to play golf on the resort's Donald Ross- and George Fazio-designed championship courses. Other amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, horseback riding, ATV trail rides, tennis and fishing and trap shooting. Winter activities include skiing at nearby Camelback Mountain, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowmobiling. The resort offers a variety of Full American Plan and Modified American Plan packages featuring continental cuisine.

The resort offers more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space capable of handling groups of up to 500 people. The resort also is a popular destination for weddings, anniversaries and christenings.

"Executive chef Leonard Iorio blends local ingredients to create a unique menu at our new upscale full-service restaurant, The Exchange -- fare that appeals to every palette," said Doug Becker, food & beverage director, The Inn at Pocono Manor. "We provide complimentary hors d'oeuvres and weekend evening entertainment at The Old Lamplighter Lounge, with an ambience that links the past and present."

The 238 guest rooms and suites are furnished in an early 20th century style and feature finely crafted mahogany furniture, patterned rugs, and complimentary high-speed Internet access. The resort offers three luxury room options.
