Greenwood Hospitality Group Launches
Investment and Management Firm
| August 10, 2009 - Industry veterans Tom Conran, Aik Hong
Tan, and Bill Zollars have joined forces to form Greenwood Hospitality
Group, a Denver-based hospitality investment and management firm with offices
in Los Angeles and Hartford. The three Greenwood principals had formerly
served as senior executives of Richfield Hospitality, Inc. for a combined
tenure of over 65 years. �We enjoyed many successes during our time
at Richfield and we are excited to begin a new venture during a period
in which we see many opportunities in both the hospitality investment and
management arenas. Our experience, independence, industry relationships,
and sound financial platform will enable us to effectively compete in the
marketplace for both acquisitions and property management contracts,� states
Tom Conran.
Greenwood has the financial support of several well-capitalized investor groups and will continue to maintain successful relationships with their branded partners. The company will seek out opportunities consistent with their core competencies in the upscale select and full-service hotel sectors. �One size fits all is not our operating philosophy. We are looking for deals and management assignments that coincide with our financial and operating expertise. From an operational perspective, Greenwood will ensure continuity among all managed properties through an internal management package of well-designed programs and processes.
