MONTVALE, N.J. (May 18, 2009) ─ Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a privately held operator of 24 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, today announced the appointment of Hans Mulders, a 35-year lodging veteran, as general manager of Seaview, a Dolce Resort, in Galloway, N.J., near Atlantic City. He is responsible for the
operation, promotion and success of the 297-room, 300-acre resort and
oversees all departments: Operations, Marketing, Sales, Administration,
Human Resources, Food and Beverage, Finance, Information Technology,
Maintenance and Security. He previously served the West
Paces Hotel Group as general manager of its 63-room, Casa Madrona Hotel
& Spa in Sausalito, Calif., and its 254-room, Ocean Place Resort
& Spa in Long Branch, N.J., featuring 40,000 square feet of meeting
space, two restaurants and a spa. Both hotels were rated Three
Diamonds. During that time he was honored
by West Paces Hotel Group with its annual award for most improved gross
operating profit of all its hotels. From 1993 to 1998, he served
Noble House Hotels & Resorts as managing director of its 50-room,
Four Diamond-rated Grove Isle Club & Resort in Miami. The
Four Diamond-rated hotel includes 8,000 square feet of meeting space,
restaurant, private tennis club and marina. Mulders created and operated a
sales and operations training company, Mulders & Associates in
Dallas, from 1998 to 2001. He developed and lead team-building events
for clients including Cisco Systems, Pegasus Solutions Inc.,
FastCompany magazine and RSR Corporation. From 2001 to 2003 he served
Noble House Hotels & Resorts as director of sales & marketing
and director of catering for The Adolphus, as 422-room, Four
Diamond-rated hotel in Dallas featuring 24,000 square feet of meeting
space and three restaurants. Mulders was food & beverage
director for the Westin Hotel Galleria Dallas from 1990 to 1993, a
493-room, Four Diamond-rated hotel featuring 40,000 square feet of
function space, three restaurants and two lounges. He was food
& beverage director for the Omni Hotel, San Mateo, in San Mateo,
Calif., from 1987 to 1990. During that period he was honored by
Omni Hotels as its Manager of the Year. From 1984 to 1987, he was
assistant food & beverage director for the Sheraton Round Barn Inn
in Santa Rosa, Calif. He earned his bachelor of
science degree in economics and culinary arts from the Dutch School of Hotel Administration,
Groningen, Holland, in 1983. He also studied at the Dutch School
of Civil Engineering in Hilversum, Holland, and completed the Hotel
Management Summer Program at Cornell University in 1984. Mulders is a resident of
West Long Branch, N.J., speaks English, Dutch, French and German.
He served on the executive board of directors of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce,
the board of the Long Branch Chamber of Commerce and headed its
Commerce Marketing Committee and Business Development Steering
Committee. He also served as president and director of programs
for the National Association of Catering Executives. Dolce
