Weston, Fla. – May 6, 2009 – Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa is proud to announce two recent accolades for outstanding efforts from the hotel’s staff. Global Hyatt Corporate awarded Food & Beverage Director Carlos M. Morales with “Director of Food & Beverage of the Year 2008” for medium size hotels. The Bonaventure’s Human Resource team was lauded with “Human Resource Team of the Year 2008” for medium size hotels. The “Medium Size” category includes hotels with 400 to 599 rooms. Global Hyatt Corporation presents the awards annually. Nominations are made by hotel General Managers. Only one winner per category is selected from all U.S. domestic Hyatt hotels. Criteria are based on candidates’ outstanding achievements in the following areas:
“Both awards acknowledge noteworthy achievements in boosting overall morale, revenue and productivity at Hyatt Regency Bonaventure,” said General Manager Fred Euler. “Our F&B constantly innovates to deliver excellent dining experiences, while Human Resources have assembled and motivated a staff of outstanding individuals who make our hotel shine.” Through Morales’ efforts, transient overall F&B improved five percent, total F&B service improved 14 percent and quality of F&B improved three percent. For meeting planners, Bonaventure had F&B growth in several key areas; most notably a 23 percent increase in Overall Satisfaction with Entire Experience and 13 percent increase in Overall Satisfaction with Event Phase. impacting Maritz scores; achieving a 98 percent completion on the
Employee Engagement Survey, making Hyatt Regency Bonaventure number one
in the company for employee satisfaction by expanding their association
relation activities. HR also effectively partnered with several local
businesses in Weston, Fla., promoting education as well hosting and
