2009): Nancy J. Ruddy and John Cetra of CetraRuddy, Inc.
announced today that their Hospitality Group, a division of their
award-winning architectural and interior design firm, has designed
CassaNY and its interiors in collaboration with Enrique Norten’s TEN
Arquitectos. CetraRuddy additionally serves as Architect and is
overseeing all construction for the project. The 50-story
independent hotel and condominium is currently rising on West 45th
Street in Manhattan. All 57 residences and 166 hotel rooms will
enjoy an impressive selection of amenities and full range of services,
including a world-class restaurant, spa, lushly landscaped garden,
terrace, and lounge, as well as 24-hour concierge. CetraRuddy has designed CassaNY as an iconic white tower, with modern, elegant lines of glistening metal, and artfully placed punched windows. The fenestration creates a unique variety of views and visual experiences from every hotel room and residence in the building. The interior public spaces are designed to welcome and inspire. Soaring fine-tuned volumes accented with luxurious, modern materials and sculptural furniture elements greet you as you enter. Social spaces are layered in a unique, exclusive club, to create an exciting lifestyle experience. The masterfully orchestrated hotel and residential interiors accentuate the unique plan of the building. Light and reflective materials remain the focus for interiors, ensuring a unified design statement, and highlighting the fresh, modern spaces. CetraRuddy has hand-selected the finest wood, stone, glass, lacquer and leather finishes accented by diverse tactile elements including crystalline and hand-chiseled materials to create a highly refined living experience, reflecting the building’s modern vocabulary. CetraRuddy has successfully designed and shaped unique residential buildings and communities throughout the firm’s history.
