Interstate’s Crossroads Division Names James DeLorge II
General Manager of the Year

NEW YORK – April 14, 2009 – James DeLorge II, general manager of the Wingate by Wyndham® Manhattan Midtown hotel, was recently recognized as 2008 General Manager of the Year by Interstate Hotels & Resorts’ select-service division, Crossroads Hospitality.

Interstate, the nation’s largest independent hotel management company, operates 224 full- and select-service properties and approximately 45,000 rooms in 37 states, the District of Columbia, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Mexico and Russia. The company carefully selects one general manager out of 120 select-service managed hotels for the “2008 General Manager of the Year, Crossroads Division” award based on various criteria including high achievement in associate satisfaction and guest satisfaction scores, increased market share, and exceeding budgeted revenue and gross operating profit.

In 2006, DeLorge led the successful opening of the flagship Wingate by Wyndham Manhattan Midtown, and subsequently earned “Hotel of the Year” and “Sales Team of the Year” awards from Wyndham Worldwide. Under his leadership the hotel has consistently exceeded expectations.

DeLorge joined predecessor company Interstate Hotels Corporation in 2001 as director of revenue of the Hilton Hartford. He served in directors of sales positions at several properties including: the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea, where he earned the prestigious Sales Excellence award; the Hilton Garden Inn Glastonbury; and the Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester. He also serves on Crossroad’s General Manager Council. DeLorge earned a degree in Sales and Marketing at Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
