Andy Dolce, founder and chairman of Dolce Hotels and Resorts
to Share Entrepreneurial Vision With Cornell Hotel Students

Ithaca, NY, April 9, 2009 Andy Dolce, founder and chairman of Dolce Hotels and Resorts, will be the featured speaker in the Conversations with Entrepreneurs series to be presented next Tuesday, April 14th, by the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Dolce will present from 4:15-5:30 p.m. in 198 Statler Hall. He will dine with selected students after the event and will meet the next day with students, staff and faculty.

Dolces innovative ideas have made him a pioneer in the meetings and conference industry. Widely known as a master at creating environments that inspire creativity and learning, Dolce has redefined the meeting-and-conference-center model. He has been named one of the 25 Most Influential Executives in the meetings and travel industries by both Meeting News and Business Travel News magazines.

Dolce began his career in the hospitality industry at the American Management Association, where he managed 600 conferences a year throughout the U.S. In his next role as executive vice president for Harrison Conference Centers, he pioneered the first Complete Meetings Package for the conference industry.

Later, Dolce tapped his entrepreneurial instincts when he launched Dolce International. He quickly built the firm into one of the worlds leading providers of meetings and conferences. Dolce International changed its name to Dolce Hotels and Resorts last year to better reflect the breadth and caliber of services and amenities offered to its guests.

A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Dolce studied Economics at Iona College and later earned a Masters Degree from Cornell University.

The Conversations with Entrepreneurs series is co-sponsored by the following Cornell organizaions: the Hotelie Entrepreneurs Club at the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell Hospitality Advisors, and eClips of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
