Millennium Knickerbocker Enters New Year with New Business Center,
Services from TTI Technologies International

Chicago landmark hotel adds self-service computer workstations/kiosks, Fax/Copier/Scanner/Printer
and Boarding Pass Printing Service for guests

New York January 27, 2009 As part of its ongoing effort to enhance the experience of its valued guests, the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago has upgraded its business-center technologies and guest services with self-service solutions provided by TTI Technologies International. The landmark hotel, located on Michigan Ave. at the gateway to Chicagos famed Magnificent Mile, is a top downtown destination for business and international travelers. Growing its portfolio in the Chicago market with the Millennium brand is part of the companys ongoing growth strategy.

Previously we were operating with a single guest-use computer with limited functionality, said Dominic Smart, Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Director of Rooms. We needed a partner with expertise in business center operations to meet the needs of our guests especially our high-end business travelers. In this ever-changing high-tech world, presentations and communications are constantly evolving. This requires on-demand access to printing, scanning, email and the Internet via the very latest technologies and equipment. Based on the previous relationship and satisfaction that Millennium corporate has with the products and services provided by TTI, we selected our partner.

The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago installed three TTI self-service guest computers equipped with free-to-guest Airline Boarding Pass Printing functionality and a full-service Fax/Copier/Scanner/Printer system. These easy-to-use and affordable solutions provide Millennium Knickerbocker guests with the convenience of being able to access a host of business services from one central location.

With the diverse set of users needing immediate access 24/7, security (viruses/malware) is an ongoing challenge and it can take up many man hours just to maintain the business center, Smart said. With TTI, all services are done remotely and can be rebooted to a clean image at any time. In addition, TTI can reorder supplies without being asked to do so. And, should we experience any hardware failures which has yet to be the case the equipment is replaced overnight. All software issues are as simple as a reboot, which makes the operation very simple to trouble shoot.

TTI has been installing automated business centers in hotels for many years with offices in New York, Miami, Boston, California, and Phoenix. TTI business services include: Self Service Business Centers, ID/Passport Scanners, Airline Boarding Pass Printing Systems, Automated Concierge Services, Informational Kiosks, Luggage Storage Solutions, ATM's, Digital Signage systems and more.

We could not have asked for a better brand or facility to grow our business in the Chicago market, said Steve Blidner, TTI President. As the demand for self-service technologies continues to rise, we at TTI are committed to developing solutions that are easy to use and easy to support. Travelers face enough stress while on the road, and worrying about how to communicate with friends, family or the office should not be one of them. The travelers that require access to a hotels business center are those who demand and expect services that help them do their jobs while on the road any hour of the day. We understand the importance of making technology user-friendly, and the solutions we deliver are extremely easy to operate and require little staff interaction.

As we enter a New Year, its very exciting to know that we are continuing to grow our valued relationship with Millennium Hotels & Resorts, he added. The economy is tough for everyone, and being able to provide travelers with affordable solutions that help them do their jobs easier while helping hotels increase revenues with a very small investment is a great position to be in. At TTI, we promise to deliver guest-service solutions with our customers economic and business needs in mind.
