Tropicana Las Vegas Names Ron Thacker President
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2009 - Ron Thacker, a veteran gaming and casino executive, has been named President of Tropicana Entertainment's casino and resort property in Las Vegas. Thacker will report to COO Robert Yee and will oversee all property operations pending appropriate regulatory approval. Mr. Thacker has more than 30 years of gaming experience, most recently as Vice President of Casino Operations at Fontainebleau Resorts where he was responsible for casino design, development, systems implementation and general casino operations. "Ron brings a wealth of resort, hotel and gaming experience to his position at the Tropicana Las Vegas," said Yee. "We are thrilled to have him on our team and eager to employ his extensive working knowledge of the casino gaming business." He previously held executive positions at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas, Casino Windsor and Flamingo Hilton Kansas City. Mr. Thacker is a Las Vegas native who served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years prior to beginning his career in the hotel, casino and resort field. About Tropicana Las Vegas
