Seagate Hospitality Group Names Helmut Rueckert President

DELRAY BEACH, FL – (January 21, 2009) — Seagate Hospitality Group, an independent hotel and resort management company, has named Helmut Rueckert President. In addition to directing the efforts of the individual project teams, Rueckert will be working to grow the company nationally by pursuing management contracts and partnerships and adding additional properties to the company’s portfolio of projects that include the recently reconstructed luxury Seagate Beach Club and The Seagate Hotel & Spa, currently under construction.

“Rueckert brings tremendous experience as a senior manager for well-respected brands in the hospitality industry and we’re extremely pleased he has joined our growing team,” says Seagate Hospitality Group Chairman E. Anthony Wilson.

Rueckert has 32 years of experience in the upscale and luxury segments of the hospitality and restaurant industries in the United States, Caribbean and Europe, including executive positions with such companies as Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Hudson Hotels and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.

Born and educated in Germany, Rueckert attended the Culinary School for the Hospitality Industry  where he earned his certification as a chef, as well as Fachoberschule Marktheidenfeld where he majored in Business and Accounting.

Seagate Hospitality Group is an entrepreneurial, independent management company with a successful track record in the industry for over 32 years. Providing top-quality services including room operations, food and beverage, sales and marketing, centralized accounting, and human resources, the company’s culture is rooted in the unique nature of hospitality and service, delivering extraordinary customer experiences and owner’s results in all stages of the economic cycle.

The Seagate Beach Club is an exclusive club located directly on the ocean in Delray Beach.
